EXPERIENCE
Darmilo “Dar” Sosa brings 16 years of extensive experience in aircraft leasing, technical consultant, engineering and fleet technical management from various airlines, MRO and aviation consultant sectors. He worked at South East Asian Airlines as a Technical Service Engineer/Quality Engineer. He took the position of General Manager for ASTECH Aviation and later went to Singapore Airline Engineering Company to work under the Fleet Management Program in 2007.
In 2009, he returned to the Philippines and served as the Head of Engineering for Zest Airways. He later worked at Air Asia Philippines as Manager of Engineering.
In 2012, Dar started his career in aircraft leasing as Technical Consultant when legacy ILFC signed him in the group, which he continued later on at AerCap Aviation. He concurrently provides Technical Consulting with AerCap Aviation, VX Capital and SGI Aviation for aircrafts returns and deliveries. In 2014, Dar founded Wingbox Aviation where he serves as its Chief Executive Officer/Managing Director.
EDUCATION
Dar graduated from the Philippines State College of Aeronautics with a degree in Aircraft Maintenance Technology. He continued his education at PATTS College of Aeronautics where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Aeronautical Engineering. Dar placed sixth overall when he passed the National Board exam for Aeronautical Engineer in the Philippines.
