History

Charles Aerospace Industries traces its roots back to 1999 when Charles M. Aguilar II established Press ‘N Edge Canvas Upholstery in Las Pinas City, Philippines. Grand opening ceremony was held in January 2000. It later changed its name to Cardee Leatherseat and Upholstery.

Through the years of providing outstanding service to its numerous satisfied customers, it had its first break in the aviation/aerospace industry when it started fabricating seat covers for Cebu Pacific airline.

In 2012, Cardee Leatherseat and Upholstery’s assets were bought out by Airworthy International – a wholly-owned subsidiary of Airworthy Aerospace a Wisconsin, USA based aerospace company. The Repair & Manufacturing Operations was then relocated from Las Pinas City to Clark Freeport Zone, Angeles City, Pampanga. Charles M. Aguilar II was retained as the Accountable Manager for the Clark business operations. During the next several years Airworthy International made its name in the local aerospace community by serving numerous customers in the aircraft seat repair and fabrication such as Philippine Airlines, PAL Express, Cebu Pacific, Philippines Air Asia, China Eastern Airlines and Singapore (Airlines) Engineering Philippines among others.

In 2018 the two brothers – Charles M. Aguilar and Charles M. Aguilar II established Charles Aerospace Industries, Inc., a SEC registered corporation in the Philippines. In that same year, Airworthy International sold its Clark operations assets to Charles Aerospace Industries.

Charles Aerospace Industries continue the two decade long tradition of providing great customer service in the local aerospace community, which started in the heyday of Press ‘N Edge Canvas Upholstery which Charles M. Aguilar II established through the Airworthy International operations which he managed as its Accountable Manager.

As part of its continues improvement of providing great customer service and in addition to its aircraft Seat Repair, Refurbishment, Overhaul and Interior Cabin Thermoforming services division in Clark, Charles Aerospace Industries now offer a Total Cabin Maintenance service division that are located near two of the Philippines’ major international airports.
