CHARLES M. AGUILAR President/CEO, 53, American

As co-founder and President/CEO with 30 years of domestic and international experience leading operations of complex organizations, Charles M. Aguilar focuses on the overall strategic direction and planning of the firm. He plays an active role on the firm’s administrative and financial management and its overall approach in running the company.

Experience 

Charles M. Aguilar co-founded Charles Aerospace Industries in 2018. He managed the Los Angeles, California facility of Valmont Industries as General Manager. Valmont Industries is a publicly traded company in the US with a $3 billion annual revenue. Prior to that he served as Vice-President of Operations and as Officer for Quallion, LLC an aerospace and bio-medical Lithium-ion battery manufacturer in Sylmar, California which was later acquired by EnerSys, another publicly traded US corporation with a $2.5 billion annual revenue. Charles M. Aguilar was hired by Alcoa, the world’s 6th largest producer of aluminum to run one of its aerospace fastening plants in Torrance, California. Prior to Alcoa, Charles M. Aguilar has spent close to 15 years in the automotive industry working for NGK Spark Plugs (USA), Inc. in Irvine, California. There he rose in ranks from Quality Engineer to Plant Manager and later to General Manager. Prior to joining NGK Spark Plugs, Charles served in the United States Navy for seven years. He was forward deployed in the Persian Gulf under the Abraham Lincoln battle group during Operation Desert Storm in 1991. During his seven-year naval service he was awarded the Sailor of the Year Award two times and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal four times. He was honorably discharged in 1997.

Volunteer 

He served for three years on the board of directors of the Irvine Chamber of Commerce in the city of Irvine, California having served as Vice Chairman of the Board for Business and Economic Development.  He was also an active member of the Irvine Spectrum Rotary Club, Past Chairman of the Board and President of  Philippine Society of Southeast Los Angeles (PHILSELA) and Past President of Whitney High School Filipino Parents Support Group (Whitney-FPSG).

Education

Charles M. Aguilar completed his Executive MBA degree program as a Fellow at Claremont Graduate University, Peter Drucker School of Management in Claremont, California. He holds a BS degree in Management and Industrial Engineering from Mapua Institute of Technology. He completed his Management Development Program at USC Marshall School of Business and he is an alumni of the Executive Management Program at UCLA Anderson School of Management.
